Culture Unite develops, promotes and supports

South Asian Arts.

Culture Unite is a dynamic arts development organisation that develops, promotes and supports contemporary and traditional South Asian music and arts. We develop, commission, and produce a range of arts and music events. This includes events and tours, programming for festivals, digital exhibitions, artist development, education and participation activities. We work with audiences from a wide range of communities and all age groups at community and mainstream venues and festivals. The approach is inclusive, seeking to engage not only all of the South Asian communities, but also to share South Asian arts with the wider community.

Asian Dance Festival project

Culture Unite has been an advocate and champion for unlocking the skills of many Asian artists, so far through advice, guidance and support only. But this three-month long project will help to equip emerging talent to prosper as professional artists and musicians by: (1) Practical development and creative opportunities for Asian dance and music artists to overcome challenges around their artistic progression. This will be done by organising complementing performances with outreach activity, workshops & festival delivered in partnership with a leading arts venue in Birmingham and specialist music industry organisations, helping artists to sustain viable careers. (2) Ensure that Asian arts is available to diverse audience, and isn’t siloed away in certain communities or particular areas of the country.
